Utility bills

Bills from Gmail file themselves.

Electricity, water, gas, building fees — Rentabl reads the bill as soon as it lands in your inbox, files it as a cost on the right flat and attaches the PDF. If the tenant pays it, they get a notification. You just take a look.

How bills reach Rentabl

Two ways, neither involves retyping.

Use one or both. The same bill arriving twice is still one cost.

Connect Gmail

Beta

Sign in with Google once and pick the suppliers you get bills from. From then on Rentabl finds their bills by itself — new ones and the ones you already have.

  • Imports bills from up to 12 months back
  • Pick your city and its suppliers are already ticked
  • New bills arrive on their own, no filter needed

Forward to your Rentabl address

You get a personal address for bills. Set up a Gmail filter once that forwards bills to it — the app walks you through it in three steps.

  • Works with Outlook and other mail too
  • Forward any single bill by hand as well
  • Rentabl gets no access to your mailbox

Bill not in your inbox? Upload the PDF, or scan the payment barcode with your phone in the mobile app — it goes the same way.

What happens to a bill

From inbox to cost, in four steps.

  1. 1

    Reads the payment slip

Croatian bills carry a 2D payment barcode. From it Rentabl takes the supplier, IBAN, reference, amount and due date — exactly, no guessing. No barcode? AI reads the bill text, and you check it before confirming.

  2. 2

    Finds the right flat

From the address on the bill and what you have confirmed before. If the building has several flats or the address is unknown, it asks — it never guesses.

  3. 3

    Files the cost

Category (electricity, water, gas, building fees…), period and due date, with the PDF attached. Who pays follows the lease: utilities go to the tenant if that is the deal, the rest is yours.

  4. 4

    Tells whoever needs to know

A tenant on the portal is notified of a bill they pay. You get the payment barcode in the app, so you pay by scanning it in your banking app.

You have the final say

Automatic when it is certain. Asks when it is not.

A cost is created on its own only with a readable payment slip, a supplier you confirmed and a clear flat. Everything else waits for you under "To review".

Confirm the first bill once

For each supplier and flat you confirm only the first bill — all waiting ones at once. Every bill after that goes through by itself.

No double costs

The same bill from Gmail, forwarding and a manual upload is recognised as one. Delete a cost by mistake and uploading the bill again brings it back.

"Not mine" is remembered

Mark a bill for the flat you live in, or for your company, once — bills like it stop coming to review.

Privacy

Your inbox stays yours.

Read-only

The Gmail connection asks only for permission to read. Rentabl cannot send, delete or change your mail.

Utility suppliers only

It opens a whole message only when it comes from a supplier you picked. For every other message it stores nothing — not the subject, not the sender.

Verified sender

A bill that fails the sender check (SPF/DKIM) never reaches your books — fake "bills" end up in quarantine.

Switch it off any time

Disconnect with one click in settings. The access key is stored encrypted and never leaves our server.
